Karla Leavelle. Partner, Organizational Design.  Ms Leavelle is a recognized leader in workforce issues regarding organizational and infrastructure development, risk management, performance and interpersonal/communication management, change leadership and work life balance issues.

For more than 20 years, Ms Leavelle has helped large companies manage their human capital as well as emerging companies to profitably grow their workforces. Her corporate HR career experience includes a variety of industries: consulting, financial services, education, telecommunications, Internet commerce and software development.  

Karla was Vice President of Human Resources for Network Solutions, the registry and registrar of Web site addresses. Ms. Leavelle has also held HR management positions at Bell Atlantic Video Services, the first company to bring video-on-demand into the home, Southland Corporation, the world’s largest convenience store operations, and Manchester Partners, an HR consulting services firm to Fortune 500 companies.

Ms Leavelle holds an MBA from DePaul University and a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas.  She is a board member of the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board, the corporate advisory board for Darden, University of Virginia.  Additionally, Ms. Leavelle is an adjunct professor in the School of Management at George Mason University.
